Welcome Ploy

Over 30 club members and guests celebrated the end of summer at a Lobster-Do event at the Westminster fire station on Saturday, August 27, 2016 and welcomed Rotary exchange student Thippapha Vrongsrirunguang (also known as Ploy) to the Bellows Falls area. Ploy joins us from Bangkok, Thailand, where she lives with her mother, father and two siblings. Her brother was an exchange student in Wisconsin last year. Ploy will start her year with host family Bonnie and Keith Clark of Westminster and attend Bellows Falls Union High School as a sophomore. Rotary exchange students normally live with two or three host families during their year-long stay and we are currently seeking at least one more host family.

Bonnie presents certificate of appreciation to Christopher Wallace and family
Also at the Lobster Do, past president, Bonnie Clark presented a certificate of appreciation to Christopher Wallace and his sons, Jordan and Austin Powers who hosted exchange student Thomas during the past school year. After attending Green Mountain Union High School last year, Thomas has returned home to Belgium and is now attending college in the Netherlands.
